Insurance is a serious business! Because of this, I thought I needed to be serious and reserved and professional at all times.  Make sure my hair doesn’t get too crazy with color or be too casual or…whatever! What I know now is creativity and Insurance most certainly go together.

Isn’t that why people like you get connected with me?  I find creative solutions for your health conundrums. I’m an advocate for my people in a way I often find is missing from this industry.

I’ve been doing myself and all of you a disservice by not sharing why I love taking care of people with health insurance – in my own style and in my own way.

So for today’s topic…Investing in myself and my own zone of genius.

Investing in myself – whether it be my business or my health – has always delivered a positive ROI and dividends! Lately, I’ve been focused on investing in my business and team…

By asking the better question “Who Can?” vs “How Can I?”, I’ve been able to transform my unique, creative ideas better than I could have ever done on my own. As described in the book Who Not How by Dan Sullivan and Benjamin Hardy, it’s quite fun to expand my business easier and quicker by bringing in specialists to collaborate with!  Here are the benefits as a result:

• A recent impactful “ahh haa” moment of how critical and important it is to work with amazing people was in working with Rachel Jeffries, Founder of Rooted Strategy. She gave voice to my ideas and structure to my words. Working with her expanded my ability to be better at communicating and connecting the way I always want to. I just sucked trying to do it by myself! 😜

• As I’ve recently discovered my love of aerial and pole fitness, I’m now working with a personal trainer specifically for strength and technical help.  Roz is a fun, kick butt, and exceptional trainer.  I met her in Vermont last year at her amazing workshop at the dance studio. Pole dancing is the hardest and funnest (yes, I just made word up) movement ever! An unexpected gift of this practice is for me to recognize the beauty of femininity without a sexual connotation.

• As I don’t possess the ability to recruit, train and hire exceptionally well, Cindy Timpone, Owner of Momentum Resources is helping me define job descriptions and hire my A-Team. The foundation we are using is found in the book Rocket Fuel by Gino Wickman & Mark Winters. I felt an immediate sense of freedom after reading about and understanding Visionary and Integrator roles within an organization. I’m definitely more clear on my best talents & gifts. Ultimately I’m managing my time and energies better! (Keeping with the time awareness I recently discovered)

Our integrated internet-centric world has transformed how we connect with each other. And I love it. More than ever I’m embracing resources and tools in creating my own voice and online presence. 

I’m naturally wired to learn and grow, refine and improve. (hmm,,.sounds like a good wine getting better with age!🍷).  My biggest challenge is to prioritize, study and implement!  So, in the cycle of serving, my best quality is to provide leadership and contributions to you.
